Clinging

Definition :

Upadana translates as "clinging", "attachment" or "grasping", although the literal meaning is "fuel". Fuel that is the source and means for keeping an active process energized.

Clinging (Upadana) and Craving(Tanha) are seen as the two primary causes of Suffering (Dukkha). The cessation of clinging leads to Freedom (Nirvana).
