If you are new to mindfulness and meditation, it can be difficult to know where to begin. We suggest exploring the following paths to help you get you started.
Take the Introduction to Mindfulness & Meditation Course
Beginners and those who would like to establish or refresh their mindfulness and meditation practice are encouraged to take this introductory course. Although it is not required, we highly recommend this course for everyone, as it lays the foundation for all other programs offered by RIM.
Attend a Weekly Practice and Learning Drop-In
Weekly Drop-Ins are at the heart of RIM program offerings. They provide ongoing community support for meditation practice and learning. Drop-ins are attended by beginner and experienced folks alike. If an introductory course is not currently available, and you would like to get started, consider coming to a Drop-In.
Checkout a Community Circles or Support Program
Are you looking for a community or support related to a particular topic or personal concern? Community and Support groups may be meaningful ways to connect with others and explore your immediate interests.
Explore Other Mindfulness-Based Programs
Feel free to explore other program offerings at RIM, such as a Mindful Yoga class, the Refuge Recovery program or a Day of Mindfulness retreat. We try to make our programs accessible to everyone.
