Rooted In Mindfulness

Managing Everyday Stresses Through Awareness, Choice, and Practice

Mindfulness in Daily Life

“Mindfulness gives you time. Time gives you choices. Choices, skillfully made, lead to freedom. You don’t have to be swept away by your feelings. You can respond with wisdom and kindness rather than habit and reactivity.”

- Bhante Henepola Gunaratana

About This Course

ABOUT MINDFULNESS IN DAILY LIFE

Each day, we wander off into various states of mind, neither aware of how we got there, nor conscious of the impact these side trips have on our daily well-being. In this series, together we will explore:

  • Various ways our thoughts shape our perspective
  • How our habits of thought contribute to stress in our daily existence
  • The practice of mindfulness in a way that is topical and relevant
  • Practical ways to apply new skills in every situation

We hope you’ll come away with a refreshing awareness of the mind’s rituals, and how recognizing these patterns is the first step toward managing stress. We welcome you to join us!

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This four-session workshop is designed to benefit those who have never meditated as well as those who wish to deepen their Mindfulness practice.
