Please join us on Sunday, June 12 for Rooted In Mindfulness' 1st, single-day Kalyana Mitta (spiritual friendship) group. This Mindful Field Trip to Devil's Lake State Park invites us to have time together, to connect, share and deepen our mindful living practice in one of Wisconsin's most beautiful state parks.
We will be meeting at the park's picnic area at 10:00 AM. We'll chat a bit and then head up the bluff. After recovering from the climb, there will be a lightly guided sit, a bit of sightseeing, and then back down the bluff. Once we reach "camp," we'll have a picnic.
Don't worry; not everyone will be climbing the bluff. Some will prefer to hang out at ground zero and enjoy beautiful Devil's Lake.
Lunch, you say??? Lunch will NOT be provided. Everyone, please pack a picnic lunch, and if you care to bring a dish to pass, no one will complain. ;)
Rooted In Mindfulness members and families are invited to attend.
Use the main entrance to Devil's Lake State Park on the north shore of the lake, off County Highway DL., where you will find The Visitor Center, Chateau, Nature Center, picnic area, shelters, and beach. Quartzite, Northern Lights, and Ice Age campgrounds are all accessed by the north shore entrance.
Devil's Lake is about a two-hour drive from RIM. Driving directions can be found here.
This "Pop-up" Community Group has been generously organized by Monty Montgomery, a member of the RIM Community. Please visit Monty's website (click the "Let Monty Know You Are Attending" button below) to contact him with any questions you may have. He'll be happy to connect with you.
