Maria Sprecher has a degree in Education from UW-Milwaukee, and was trained in tai chi and qigong at the ShaoLin Center of Waukesha, where she earned the rank of SiJie (“elder sister”), or senior instructor. Maria also trained under Sun Chun Xiang of the Chinese Health Qigong Association and All-China Sports Federation, which is how she learned the version of the Eight Pieces of Brocade that we will be exploring in this group.
Outside of class Maria is an enthusiastic life-long learner, delving into topics from history to engineering to learning violin. Having spent time in Asia, Maria enjoys practicing both Chinese and Japanese tea culture. She has been enjoying RIM offerings for around 6 years.
